I'm in LOVE!

I love all things handmade and crafty and this is too good not to share. I just found these HANDMADE wooden shoes on etsy... Mohop is the name of the shop. They are handmade in Chicago, by a woman, of course. They have loops on the sides and you can change out the ribbons, or use scarves, and tie them in many different ways. SO COOL! I think I found my birthday present....

I impressed myself AND my daughter

This is the mural I painted on my 4 year old's wall. She's in love with Ariel and wanted an "under the sea" theme. I wasn't so sure about how it would turn out, but I have to say I really like it. I got the mural  from Wish Upon a Mural. They have tons of characters and scenes. It came as a big black and white poster that I traced on the wall with carbon paper. It seemed easy enough to paint, I just looked in one of our Little Mermaid books, but her eyes and mouth weren't very defined. I had to really stretch my creative muscle there, but it turned out great!

along with everyone else on the web. The hardest part has been deciding on a background and trying to get the header to fit in the box. Why won't it fit in the box? Oh well, that's the best I can do for now.
